Whitney Oaks Care Center is seeking dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Dietary Aides to join our dietary services team. In this role, you will help provide nutritious meals and excellent service to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.

As a Dietary Aide, you will:

Assist with meal preparation and tray setup

Serve meals and snacks to residents

Operate dishwashing equipment and wash dishes

Monitor dishwasher temperatures and sanitation requirements

Prepare nourishments and between-meal snacks

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, refrigerators, and work surfaces

Sweep and mop kitchen and dining areas
-
Store groceries and supplies safely and efficiently

Remove trash and maintain a clean work environment

Work closely with cooks, dietary staff, and other departments to ensure quality resident care

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to learn food service procedures quickly

Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Food Handler's Certificate required (or ability to obtain and maintain certification)

Healthcare, senior living, food service, restaurant, cafeteria, or dietary experience is a plus, but not required

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling

Ability to work safely in a busy kitchen environment
