Position Overview:
Paul Quinn College (PQC) is an innovative, mission-driven HBCU located in Dallas, TX. Our dining program is central to student experience, built around cultural food traditions, community engagement, and a strong farm-to-table initiative, supported by our on-campus farm. We are seeking a Server for The Café.
Position Summary
The Server supports cafeteria service and catered events by ensuring food is presented professionally and service standards are maintained throughout meal periods and special functions.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve food professionally during cafeteria and catered events
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of serving lines and buffet stations
- Monitor portion control and replenish food stations promptly
- Provide courteous and attentive service to guests
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and room resets
- Maintain sanitation standards during service operations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and leadership team
Minimum Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
