Job Overview
We are a well-established chiropractic wellness center seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing Specialist to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate has experience with chiropractic billing, insurance claims, payment posting, and accounts receivable management.
Responsibilities
- Accurately assign CPT codes and ICD-10 diagnosis codes for chiropractic procedures
- Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies and third-party payers
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Manage accounts receivable and collections follow-up
- Review and correct claim denials and rejections
- Stay current with updates in medical coding regulations, insurance policies, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies and patients as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience is prefered
- Chiropractic billing experience strongly prefered
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and insurance claim processing
- Experience with payment posting and A/R follow-up
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
