Saivay Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the field operations of two new multifamily mid-rise residential buildings in the Aventura / North Miami area.
Construction is expected to begin soon, and we are looking for someone who can become part of the project from the beginning and remain through completion.
This is a full-time, on-site position with the opportunity to continue working with Saivay Construction on additional developments as our construction portfolio grows.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and subcontractors on site.
- Coordinate all trades and maintain proper construction sequencing.
- Review and understand architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Coordinate subcontractors, manpower, equipment and material deliveries.
- Monitor the construction schedule and identify potential delays before they affect the project.
- Coordinate inspections with Miami-Dade/appropriate authorities and the project team.
- Verify work is completed according to plans, specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
- Maintain daily field reports, progress photos and documentation.
- Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field follow-up.
- Track punch-list items and corrections.
- Maintain job-site organization, cleanliness and safety.
- Identify field conflicts and communicate them before they impact schedule or cost.
- Assist with RFIs, field coordination and resolution of construction issues.
- Verify materials and deliveries against the construction schedule.
- Support the project through inspections, completion, punch list and final CO.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction field experience preferred.
- Previous experience with multifamily, condominium, mid-rise or commercial ground-up construction strongly preferred.
- English and Spanish required.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of structural, architectural and MEP construction sequencing.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and inspections.
- Familiarity with Miami-Dade construction and inspection processes preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Comfortable using email, Excel, digital plans and construction/project management software.
- OSHA 30 preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management background is a plus.
