Transformations Care is a behavioral health treatment provider offering comprehensive mental health and dual diagnosis services to adults seeking recovery and emotional wellness. Our Mental Health Track provides individualized treatment for clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, thought disorders, and other behavioral health challenges. POSITION OVERVIEW
Transformations Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Part-Time Mental Health Therapist to join our growing Mental Health Program. We are particularly interested in candidates who are Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs), although licensed clinicians and other registered associates will be considered.
The ideal candidate will provide individual therapy, facilitate therapeutic groups, participate in treatment planning, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a supportive clinical environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for adults receiving mental health treatment.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning documentation.
- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and other clinically appropriate interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Assist clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and recovery-oriented goals.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other treatment team members to ensure continuity of care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
- Registered Associate or Licensed Clinician in California.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a treatment team.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment planning, and documentation standards.
Preferred:
- AMFT registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Experience working in behavioral health, PHP, IOP, residential treatment, or community mental health settings.
- Experience facilitating therapy groups.
- CADC certification or substance use treatment experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

- Part-Time Position
