We are a fast-growing pain management clinic located in Wesley Chapel, Brandon and South Tampa, FL . TRAVEL IS IMPORTANT AND HOURLY PAY REFLECTS. Our focus is on providing our patients with advanced, non-opioid based therapies for the improvement of their pain conditions. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who is a reliable, experienced, energetic, team-player with exceptional customer service skills, capable of providing an outstanding patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care cases from office visits to procedures throughout the day.
- Speak with patients, office staff and providers regarding patient care issues.
- Check in/out patients, and schedule patient appointments and procedures accordingly per visit type.
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties as required.
- Will teach and train how to use office fluoroscopy.
- Take patient histories and vital signs, preparing patients for examination and/or procedures.
- Chart and enter data into patient’s electronic record (eClinicalWorks)
- Scan and index documents accurately to patient’s electronic medical records.
- Assist physician with examinations and treatments including selected diagnostic tests.
- Collect, prepare, and send out laboratory specimens, e.g., urine drug screen samples.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician.
- Answer back office specific calls, seeing to it that messages are worked.
Other Responsibilities:
Experience in a medical office setting and the ability to manage incoming calls while multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies.
- Work directly with Physician and/or Office Manager on all aspects of practice operations and workflow.
- Participate in marketing activities and work with vendors and referring physicians as necessary.
Qualifications
- Strong ethical and moral character references.
- Must possess a strong work ethic, and be a self-starter.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is imperative.
- Must be reliable and able to show up to work on time on a daily basis.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Basic math and spelling skills
- E.H.R management skills, preferably versed in eClinicalWorks (eCW); willing to further train suitable candidate.
- Front and/or back medical office experience preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum of High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality a must!
