We are hiring an hourly Robotics Technician for our RESRG Automotive facility in Covington, GA. With a global footprint across four continents and a commitment to sustainability, RESRG Automotive specializes in advanced exterior and interior systems, offering cutting-edge technologies to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
The schedule is for 3rd shift: Monday through Friday, 10:50 PM to 7:00 AM
This position reports to the Robotics Maintenance Supervisor.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Must complete a daily check that all parts are de-gating correctly.
- Must inspect EOAT for repair needs as well as review and approve new EOAT
- Must implement photo eyes, sensors, cameras, etc.
- Mentor and train other technicians.
- Eliminate all gate trim related issues.
- Must support and assist all new program launches.
- Must investigate and implement new technologies for all automation in molding.
- Must be focused on a no touch automation set-up.
- Must process moldings to quality standards and not opinions.
- Adhere to all plant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Must keep the molding area clean and organized using 5-S.
- Maintain and continuously improve work area(s) as well as associated tools and equipment.
- Develop new ideas to improve cycle times.
- Complete production tasks in accordance with procedures and work instructions
- Accept personal ownership of company, plant, and department goals for quality, productivity, and safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 75 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors/outdoors as needed
- Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger fine manipulation, handle, and feel; reach with arms and hands above head.
- Sometimes required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit.
- Specific vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements
- Fanuc robot experience preferred
- 1-3 years of injection molding experience preferred.
- Familiar with molding operation and robot programming preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in developing interpersonal relationships.

What Will Put You Ahead:
- Technical degree in a related field of study preferred
- Experience with injection molding strongly preferred
Work Environment
- The Maintenance Technician will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes
- The facility is temperature controlled; the normal temperature is approximately 68F during the winter and 85F during the summer
- Daily work involves working with grease, oils and other manufacturing related chemicals
- Daily work involves being in and around elevated temperatures and heat sources of up to 800
