Responsible for assisting Engineering department with testing, evaluating, solutions and improvements to products and processes. Provide technical, product development, and fabrication support for the department assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Adhere to the safety policies of Yale Cordage, Inc.
- Incoming and outgoing quality assurance under direction of plant manager /rig supervisor
- Review, document and recommend improvements to existing manufacturing processes.
- Data collection to help maintain product development documentation.
- Work with all divisions in designing, maintaining and upgrading quality control systems.
- Approval of specification conformance.
- Test-lab equipment operation, maintenance and housekeeping of test area.
- Perform rigging and splicing. In time
- Willing to work on production floor if the lab isn’t busy
- Must have good time management and be able to multi task
- Analysis of products, raw materials and rope breakdowns.
- Physical and analytical testing of yarns and finished products.
- Define and document process instructions for set-up and operation of equipment.
- Other projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Excel, Access, and Word.
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and communications skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift 70lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to bend, stand, kneel, squat, twist, pull and work overhead
