Assistant General Manager HHW/Grange
About Us
Foothills Local Meats is a growing hospitality group rooted in Western North Carolina. Our company includes Foothills Grange, Hell or High Water, The Watershed, and The Butcher Shop, with more opportunities ahead as we continue to grow.
We care about great food, genuine hospitality, strong systems, and the people who make the work happen every day. Our concepts range from chef-driven dining to fast casual service, retail butchery, events, and outdoor hospitality.
As our company grows, we are continuing to build the leadership structure that allows our managers, teams, and guests to thrive. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager who can support daily operations, strengthen team communication, protect hospitality standards, and help build consistency across the Black Mountain properties.
About You
You are a hands-on hospitality leader who understands that strong restaurants are built through service, communication, follow-through, and care for the team.
You enjoy being close to the work. You are comfortable on the floor, in the office, in a pre-shift, in a coaching conversation, or helping a manager work through a system that needs more clarity. You understand that hospitality is both the guest experience and the structure behind the scenes that makes that experience possible.
You are organized, steady, direct, and people-focused. You can support a team without taking ownership away from them. You can help create structure without making the work feel overly corporate. You know restaurants move fast, and you know good systems only matter when managers and team members can actually use them.
You respect fine food and beverage, but you also respect a well-made sandwich. You bring curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to learn the business before trying to improve it.
