Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and provide personalized service that exceeds expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS system; handle cash and credit card payments efficiently
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste through proper handling
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions
Qualifications
- Experience in food and beverage service preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and beverage recipe development
- Familiarity with POS systems; strong cash handling skills required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and inventory management; retail math experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a restaurant environment
