Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support its SITE III DO contract. This high-impact role is essential for orchestrating, sustaining, and evolving a portfolio of mission-critical applications and services supporting a major Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC).
The SITE III DO contract is designed to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to requirements engineering, solutions architecture, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, service development, integration, testing, maintainability, and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, Partner Nations, and other Federal Agencies. This multifaceted effort ensures timely and accurate HUMINT collection, correlation, and dissemination.
Our team applies best practices in architectural design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps, and platform integration to develop, sustain, and enhance the global U.S. HUMINT apparatus, supporting partners within the U.S. and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
The Systems Architect will:
- Oversee the design and development of applications with state-of-the-art cloud-based architectures and tools.
- Address advanced performance and security requirements, including zero trust, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication, cross-domain, PKI, RBAC, logging, CMT, and other initiatives.
- Lead design tasks in collaboration with project leads and developers to produce DoDAF-compliant diagrams (e.g., OV, SV) and artifacts required for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Utilize tools including PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project to brief customers and document design and implementation details.
- Optimize Legacy Systems & Architecture Modernization:
- Drive the modernization and upgrade of legacy applications to minimize technical debt, address security requirements, and reduce operational costs by leveraging new tools and approaches.
- Cost Estimation & Planning:
- Generate cost estimates and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) calculations by leveraging deep knowledge of resource levels, technical requirements, and customer needs.
- Promote code reuse, implement reusable micro-services, and leverage enterprise services for new and existing applications.
- Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
- Support Quality Assurance (QA) tasks to ensure compliance with customer expectations and program requirements.
- Participate in Risk Management strategies and mitigation activities.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving:
- Cultivate stakeholder consensus across engineering and leadership teams while conveying technical vision and priorities.
- Adapt and adjust plans based on evolving feedback and project dynamics.
- Provide mentorship and insight to engineers and communicate plans effectively to senior leadership.
