Job Description: In-House Plumber
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract (3 months, strong possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
Location: Eden, TX
Overview
We are seeking an experienced, reliable Plumber to join our facilities team on a full-time, in-house basis. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting plumbing systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a contract position with strong potential to extend based on performance and facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, drains, and water heaters
- Diagnose and resolve leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues in a timely manner
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water supply lines, and waste/drain systems
- Respond promptly to plumbing-related work orders and emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts/materials used
- Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and facility policies
- Coordinate with facilities management on preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Order parts and supplies as needed within budget guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumber in a commercial, industrial, or institutional setting
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes, systems, and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Must be able to pass a background check and any required facility security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license
- Experience working in a secure or restricted-access facility
- Familiarity with backflow prevention systems and commercial water heaters
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
