Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
- Troubleshoot complex drivability, electrical, and mechanical concerns accurately and efficiently.
- Use professional scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and service information to identify root causes.
- Repair engine, powertrain, cooling, steering, suspension, braking, starting, charging, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil services, fluid exchanges, filters, belts, batteries, and manufacturer-recommended services.
- Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections and clearly document findings and repair recommendations.
- Verify completed repairs through testing and quality-control procedures before vehicles are returned to customers.
- Keep service advisors informed of diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and estimated completion times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Continue developing your skills through ongoing training and exposure to evolving automotive technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an A-Level Automotive Technician in an independent or franchise repair shop.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly with electrical and drivability concerns.
- Experience servicing a wide variety of makes and models; European vehicle experience is preferred.
- Ability to confidently read wiring diagrams, technical service information, and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Proficiency with modern scan tools, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, braking, steering, suspension, and powertrain systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive, high-performing team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality repairs.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- ASE certifications are preferred.
- Ability to safely meet the physical demands of the position.
