SUMMARY
This position is responsible for testing Steward products through all phases of production, including raw material, in-process, and final product testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform all work in a safe and conscientious manner. Wear all provided personal protective equipment that has been provided to ensure your safety on the job.
Tasks associated with this position include the following:
· Perform laser diffraction particle size analysis, surface area analysis, x-ray fluorescence, tap density, true density, moisture analysis, corrosion resistance, magnetic properties, and gas chromatography
· Ensure instrument calibration and performance by analyzing known reference material(s) daily
· Accept production samples and analyze as required by (SPI) Standard Processing Instructions.
· Adhere to applicable quality assurance procedures when performing analyses
· Consult with laboratory management and product engineers regarding non-conforming materials
· Communicate status of analyses to Quality, Production, and Management when requested
· Timely enter analysis results into the computerized database
· Ensure products conform to internal and external specifications
· Document and file laboratory and/or production paperwork according to established retention policies
· Conduct and document preventative maintenance on assigned lab equipment
· Perform general housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment
· Pack and store retained samples

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee may be exposed to hazardous chemicals and industrial powders. Operates measuring equipment throughout the day while meeting the demands of accurate, fast results for continuous plant operation.
JOB TYPE AND SCHEDULE
This posting is for a 12-hour overnight shift, operating on a biweekly cycle. Scheduled shift hours are 05:30 PM – 06:00 AM. The shift cycle follows:
· Week 1: Mon/Tue on, Wed/Thurs off, Fri/Sat/Sun on
· Week 2: Mon/Tue off, Wed/Thurs on, Fri/Sat/Sun off
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.46 - $23.44 per hour
