OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives supplies for the department

Maintains store rooms

Maintains service areas and stairwells for cleanliness

Keeps supply closets stocked

Keep manager or supervisor notified when supplies are low

Continually promotes positive communication and respect with other departments

Cleanliness of carpets
-
Strip vacant dirty rooms
QUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITES:
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Must be a self starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.

Must have a working knowledge of all cleaning equipment
-
Notify manager of malfunctioning equipment
PRIMARY DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Keep hallways clean at all times
-
Keep closets clean and stocked
-
Keep service landings clean, organized and free of trash
-
Dump dirty linen down laundry chute
-
Take down housekeeper’s trash at end of day
-
Clean employee restrooms daily
-
Clean carpets in rooms/hallways and public areas
-
Clean service elevators
-
Clean guest landings
-
Clean stairwells
-
Responsible for any or all cleaning projects assigned to him
-
Do guest requests
-
Answer phone in a professional manner
-
Occasionally off-load vender trucks of Housekeeping supplies only.
-
Pickup all dirty glasses and take to dishwasher at the end of shift.
-
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE LIFTING AND PUSHING):
- Ability to bend stoop and lift for extended periods of time.

Able to stand or be on feet 100% of the time.

Able to lift 50 pounds 10% of the time

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- No formal education is needed.

Ability to read operating instructions on equipment used in department.
