Job Summary:
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely transport of finished goods, components, packaging materials, and supplies between Milton Manufacturing facilities and customer or vendor locations. This role operates the Company’s commercial delivery vehicles and is accountable for maintaining accurate delivery documentation, performing required vehicle inspections, and complying with all applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, and Company driver policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely transports finished goods, components, packaging materials, and supplies between Milton Manufacturing facilities and customer or vendor locations using the Company’s commercial delivery vehicles.

Follows established delivery routes, schedules, and handling procedures to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Loads and unloads vehicles while securing and protecting products during transport.

Handles products, components, and materials with care to prevent damage and maintain quality during loading, transport, and unloading.

Verifies deliveries against documentation and promptly reports discrepancies or damages.

Maintains cleanliness, organization, and proper condition of delivery vehicles.

Completes all required documentation accurately and on time for each trip, including the Company Daily Driver Log, delivery manifests, and any other required forms; submits completed documentation to supervisor at the end of each shift.

Performs required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections before each departure, completes the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), and immediately reports any defects, damage, or mechanical concerns to the supervisor; complies with all applicable traffic laws, DOT regulations, Company safety policies, and driver licensing requirements; does not operate any Company vehicle while impaired or while using a handheld device without hands-free technology.

Provides general operational support to production and materials teams as directed; assists with shipping, receiving, and material handling during peak periods or urgent operational needs.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

At least 1 year of experience in delivery, warehouse, or logistics roles required.

Valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License required at a minimum; a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) of the appropriate class will satisfy this requirement. Must hold a current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (medical card). Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and consent to annual MVR review as a condition of employment in this role.

Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb in and out of delivery vehicles throughout the shift.

Ability to work in environments with temperature variation (manufacturing facility, delivery vehicle, and outdoor loading/unloading areas).

Ability to drive for extended periods as required.
