American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Unit night shift position in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active HI RN license.

Hospital-based Medical Unit with 77 beds
-
Adult med-surg patient population
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 on days and evenings, and 1:8 on nights
-
Equipment used includes Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
-
Night shift position with variable shift lengths and days — flexibility is required
-
Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation

May float to the Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit

13-week contract

Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Meditech EMR experience is utilized in this unit

Orientation is provided for each unit prior to independent practice

Professional nursing attire required

Proof of flu vaccination, or a facility-approved medical or religious exception, is required prior to the contract start date — flu vaccination may be administered at the employee health clearance appointment

All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment
