Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist! We are open Monday - Thursday and a few Saturdays a month. We are looking to hire a hygienist 2.5 - 3 days a week, with the opportunity for more if wanted. Our dental office is a hygienist's dreams with one hour hygiene appointments, 90 minutes provided for new patients, 90 minutes for half mouth SRP, and your own hygiene room! We also encourage feedback and will listen to what you need if asks are different than our standard.
In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental hygiene, combined with your passion for promoting oral health, will help us maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. - Monday 9am - 5pm
- Tuesday 10am - 6pm
- Wednesday 8am to 1pm or 5pm
- Thursday 10am - 6pm
- Saturday 8am - 1pm
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and evaluating oral health status.
- Operate computer programs including Dentrix, Dexis, and intra-oral photos
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix
- Adhere to infection prevention management protocols by practicing proper sterilization of instruments.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal clinical outcomes in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure
- Proven experience in dental office environments
- Proficiency in Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Nitrous oxide certificate (used rarely at our office)
- Laser certificate - every hygiene operatory is equipped with a laser

Pay: $54.00 - $59.00 per hour
