Duties
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that incorporate outdoor activities, environmental education, and age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood standards.
- Facilitate daily classroom routines that promote safety, engagement, and positive behavior management in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by guiding behavior management strategies rooted in respect, patience, and understanding.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required.
- Incorporate best practices in childhood development instruction, including literacy education, math concepts, and physical education.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom activities to support ongoing educational planning and reporting requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, preferably within outdoor or nature-based programs.
- Strong background in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education principles including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), and literacy instruction.
- Experience teaching physical education activities and integrating environmental themes into lesson plans.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Prior classroom experience demonstrating effective communication skills with children, families, and team members is preferred.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
