Position Summary
The Elementary School Floater provides flexible support throughout the school by assisting teachers, supervising students, and helping ensure the smooth operation of the school day. This position requires adaptability, initiative, and a willingness to work wherever needed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to teachers as directed.
- Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, recess, lunch, transition times, and extended care.
- Serve as a substitute for teachers or assistants when needed.
- Provide supervision and engagement of students in the extended care program.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's degree or college coursework preferred.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to changing daily assignments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and families.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
