Job Description
This position is responsible for overseeing daily supply chain activities within procedural areas, including forecasting, requisitioning, inventory control, and implant/consignment management, while utilizing lean supply chain practices. The role manages the case-picking process for supplies and collaborates closely with clinical staff to ensure the accuracy and maintenance of preference cards. The position is also responsible for implementing and maintaining the two-bin Kanban inventory system throughout procedural areas to support efficient supply replenishment and inventory management.
The incumbent serves as a key liaison between clinical teams, supply chain staff, and vendors to address a variety of supply chain functions and issues. Responsibilities include expiration tracking, cycle counting, annual physical inventory, par level analysis, product trials, product conversions, product discontinuations, preference card management, storage location optimization, and overall inventory organization. The position ensures compliance with accreditation standards and audit requirements while maintaining established processes and controls.
This role proactively monitors, investigates, and resolves charge capture discrepancies to prevent supply shortages, stockouts, and missed revenue opportunities. The position works collaboratively with clinical and supply chain teams to evaluate new products and equipment, providing data-driven analysis related to cost savings, utilization, volume, and other key performance metrics to support informed decision-making and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, materials management, logistics, or a related healthcare operations environment. Experience with inventory control, requisitioning, supply replenishment, and stock management processes. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
