Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Lawn Care Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. You'll be responsible for ensuring lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained through hands-on work with equipment, plants, and irrigation systems. Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, power tools, hand tools, and grounds maintenance equipment to mow lawns, trim trees, prune shrubs, and perform landscape upkeep.
- Identify different plant species and assess their health to support horticulture and landscape maintenance efforts.
- Perform landscaping tasks such as planting new greenery, installing hardscape features, and managing soil preparation.
- Conduct safety protocol adherence during all activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Assist with snow plowing or seasonal outdoor tasks as needed to keep properties accessible and safe year-round.
- Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, or removal while following safety standards.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment operation.
- Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, and plant identification.
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices for pest control when necessary.
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, excavators, or other construction-related equipment.
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating physical stamina and attention to safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles related to lawn care, tree care, hardscape installation, and general groundskeeping.
