NATURE OF WORK:
Harford County Housing & Community Development is seeking to fill the position of Program Eligibility Analyst I to perform a level of services required by HUD and Harford County. Under the immediate supervision of Program Eligibility II, the Program Eligibility Analyst's I responsibilities include, but may not be limited to performing initial eligibility interviews and annual recertification of participating families, handling family moves, terminations, interim changes, correspondence, telephone inquiries, and scheduling, as well as file maintenance, file scanning, front desk coverage, telephone coverage,
and other duties as assigned. I liaise with service agencies, tenants, and owners as the Program Eligibility Analyst.
Job Description:
BUDGETED SALARY: $43,000.00-$53,000.00

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Basic computer skills, including computer data entry

An ability to understand technical legal forms and documents

An ability to push and pull track file cabinets

The ability to bend, stoop, kneel and sit for prolonged periods of time

Must be able to drive a County vehicle to attend meetings and act as a representative of the Agency

Working knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program policies and procedures

Current knowledge of the federal rental housing program

Bi-lingual services are desirable but not necessary
EDUCATION:
Possession of an A.A. Degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years interviewing experience and the use of computer data entry software.
LICENSE:
Possession of a valid Class "C" non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points. Please be advised this position requires a valid driver's license. Your application will not be considered if you fail to include the full driver's license number on the electronic application.
SAFETY:
Must comply with all Federal (OSHA), State of Maryland (MOSH), safety regulations and applicable Harford County safety policies, procedures, or manual as required for this position.
Notes
Additional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
