About the Role
I'm looking for a trusted, long-term right-hand person to help run both my life and my business — this is not a short-term or fill-in position. About half your time will go toward personal support (errands, household tasks, and keeping things organized), and the other half toward business admin and marketing support, working alongside my existing marketing team (not replacing them). Some weeks you'll execute tasks assigned to you; other weeks you'll be trusted to notice what's needed and run with it on your own.
This isn't a role where you're handed a checklist and left to execute it robotically. You'll be trusted to think ahead, make good calls, and bring ideas to the table.
Most of the work is remote. You'll come in-person one day a week — Monday or Friday, morning or afternoon (flexible) — for errands and hands-on tasks.
Gardenista Jax is growing quickly, and this role is expected to grow right along with it — in hours, responsibility, and pay — for the right person who wants to stay and grow long-term.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Personal & Household Support
- Laundry and dishes
- Running errands (groceries, returns, pickups/drop-offs)
- Home and office organizing
- Occasional pet sitting
- Personal scheduling, correspondence, and other life-admin tasks
Business Admin & Operations
- Work directly inside our systems: Shopify (orders, consultations), Asana (task/project tracking), HoneyBook (client proposals/contracts), and Quo (client texting/voice line)
- Manage inbox and calendar; draft and send client communications
- Organize Google Drive files, documents, and spreadsheets
- Help build SOPs and back-end operations as the business grows — project management experience is a real plus here
- Light research projects as needed
Marketing Support (Required Skills)
- Edit and post video content for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Support (not replace) our existing marketing team — some content will be assigned to you, some you'll create and manage on your own
- Help with captions, graphics (Canva), and general content coordination
- Run and manage paid ad campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook, and Meta — including campaign setup, audience targeting, and basic performance monitoring
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience editing and posting video content for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, including comment management, page administration, ad creation, and managing paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Meta
- 1–3 years of relevant admin, personal assistant, or marketing experience
- Reliable transportation and availability for one in-person day/week (Monday or Friday, AM or PM)
- Exceptional written communication and grammar
- Reliable internet and a solid remote work setup
- Authorized to work in the United States
Nice-to-Haves (Not Disqualifying)
- Experience building SOPs or improving back-end business operations
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with Shopify, Asana, HoneyBook, or Quo
- Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude
- Canva or general graphic design experience
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website improvements (Shopify or similar)

Compensation, Schedule & Growth
- W-2 part-time position; $30–35/hour based on experience
- 5–15 hours/week, depending on the revolving needs of the business and household — with real opportunity for more hours, responsibility, and pay as Gardenista Jax grows
- Flexible schedule
