Armed Security Officer – Jewelry Retail Environment:
We are seeking a highly qualified Armed Security Officer to join our team and provide exceptional protection for a high‑value jewelry retail location. The ideal candidate will maintain a secure environment by conducting patrols, monitoring activity, and proactively identifying risks to staff, patrons, and property. pay will be based on experience and credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises, entry points, and high‑value areas to prevent theft, disturbances, and policy violations
- Conduct thorough inspections of doors, windows, gates, and security systems to ensure proper function
- Enforce property rules and regulations; issue warnings when necessary
- Identify, deter, and respond to suspicious or criminal activity, including safe apprehension or removal of individuals when appropriate
- Report facility concerns such as fire hazards, water leaks, or unsafe conditions
- Request emergency services when encountering high‑risk or urgent situations
- Prepare clear, accurate written security and incident reports as required
Qualifications:
- Prior security or law‑enforcement experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with security technology, including computers, surveillance cameras, and CCTV systems
- Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, and responding quickly to incidents
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess a valid BSIS Exposed Firearms Certificate/Firearms Permit
