Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health massage.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand client concerns, medical history, and specific treatment goals.
- Apply physiology and anatomy knowledge to develop personalized treatment plans that address pain management and enhance overall well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed, client progress, and any relevant medical terminology for record-keeping purposes.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient service and customer care by creating a welcoming environment and fostering positive client relationships.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and certifications such as CPR to ensure safe and effective therapy delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health modalities.
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy with the ability to assess patient needs accurately.
- Prior experience in pain management or injury rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to therapeutic practices enhances treatment effectiveness.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required or must be obtained prior to employment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as an contractor while maintaining professionalism and adherence to health and safety standards.
