EXPERIENCED MACHINIST:
Family owned and operated quick turn-around job shop in Colfax, NC. Successful candidate will be responsible for performing job assignments on CNC and/or manual mills and lathes as well as other standard shop equipment such as grinders, drill presses, etc. Knowledge of Fusion 360 preferred. Candidates with extensive experience, ability to work independently and leadership capabilities will have opportunity for advancement. Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience. We are not looking for machine operators. Only experienced machinists with both CNC and/or manual machining experience please.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Must be able to set up and operate both CNC and/or manual mills/lathes.
- Ability to utilize CAD/CAM software to develop CNC programs for parts and fixtures. (Fusion 360 preferred)
- Responsible for the machining of parts from start to finish including: programming, fixture design, tool selection, safe and efficient machining strategies, inspection.
- Solves tooling issues by identifying productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements
- Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification, or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, scales, indicators, etc.).
- Routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintains safety practices related to machining.
- May train others on machining skills through on the job training.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 41.0 per week
