Job Overview: ISD 728 is seeking a Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration to provide support to the Human Resources department in a manner which will ensure the department will function effectively and properly. The Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration performs a variety of confidential and complex administrative duties in support of all aspects of Human Resources using the designated processes, systems, and tools relevant to the employment life cycle and the administration of various employee benefit and retirement programs. The Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration provides input and support for contract negotiations, and functions as the receptionist as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Essential Functions
1. Build Positive Employee Experiences
Serve as a welcoming resource for employees, applicants, and community members by providing exceptional customer service and timely support. Help create a positive employee experience by building strong relationships and ensuring questions are answered accurately and professionally.
2. Support the Employee Journey
Play an active role in welcoming new employees to ISD 728 by assisting with onboarding and orientation processes. Help ensure new hires have the information, resources, and support they need for a successful start while gaining hands-on experience with the employee lifecycle.
3. Develop HR Operations Expertise
Maintain accurate employment and benefits records using HR information systems. Assist with processing personnel transactions, auditing records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with district procedures. Gain valuable experience working with HR technology, data management, and employment documentation.
4. Communicate with Confidence
Prepare and distribute clear, accurate, and timely HR communications related to employment, benefits, and personnel processes. Serve as a trusted point of contact by responding to employee inquiries and connecting staff with the appropriate resources.
5. Gain Experience in Employee and Labor Relations
Provide administrative support for employee relations, labor relations, investigations, and collective bargaining activities. Observe and assist with a variety of HR processes while developing an understanding of employment law, workplace policies, and public-sector Human Resources.
6. Contribute to a Collaborative HR Team
Support a variety of Human Resources initiatives and special projects while working alongside experienced HR professionals. Assist with administrative functions that contribute to the success of the department and gain broad exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years' experience in an office setting AND High School Diploma or GED
OR
Two (2) years' experience in an office setting AND Associate's Degree
OR
One (1) year experience in an office setting AND Bachelor's Degree
Highly Preferred:
Experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Experience in Human Resources and/or Benefits.
Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
Skills and Abilities:

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and multiple interruptions.
