Lead Preschool Teacher
Kids 'R' Kids of Spring Central is seeking a lead teacher to join our team. Applicants must have a strong desire and understanding of children and their emotional and social development. Only those with strong work ethics and a true team player attitude.
- CDA Professional or willing to obtain one within 3 months (company paid), or graduate students who are interested in a long term career in childcare or education who are looking for meaningful experience, OR
- Individuals with experience in childcare who are looking to work in an environment that provides training and support to employees, ongoing professional development, and a positive work environment.
Required Qualification
- Ability to relate positively with young children.
- Light lesson planning, as needed, with support and supervision from the director
- Ability to effectively conduct activities with young children and to effectively supervise children.
- Ability to maintain the utmost self-control and patience and to exhibit a positive tone and behavior with the young children in our care.
- The good judgment to notify supervisors of anything that merits their attention.
- Strong verbal/oral communication skills. The ability to communicate with students, parents, and others effectively and professionally.
- Solid written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment particularly in crisis situation.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Physical stamina -- must be able to bend, stand, sit on the floor, etc.
- Must meet basic requirements of child care regulatory agency to maintain safe environment for children
- Knowledge about the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children based on education, past work experience, or as a parent or caretaker of a child.
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor in the workplace including the ability to communicate with students, parents, and others effectively and professionally.
- Flexibility & Adaptability.
- Previous teaching with a public or private school system, a quality preschool, child care center, summer day camp or church nursery is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: one of the following
- A CDA or related credential or willing to enroll within 3 months or an Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Care Administration;
- Specific requirements set by minimum standards and/or accreditation;
- 1 years Lead Teacher experience working with children in an educational context.

Salary: $13 - $15 plus weekly bonuses based on performance & attendance
