Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for specialty visits and cardiology-related exams, obtaining vitals and measurements, supporting clinical workflows, and assisting providers with procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Responsibilities also include patient communication, obtaining lab results, and supporting medication prior authorizations.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Vein experience strongly preferred (Cardiology experience also preferred)
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- CPR certification preferred
- Dependable, professional, and able to travel between locations
Key Job Duties
- Room patients and document vital signs, measurements, and chief complaint in the medical record
- Confirm and update current medication list and patient history as directed
- Provide translation support for the provider when needed
- Return patient phone calls and follow up on messages
- Obtain and document lab results and other clinical information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
