Echo Technologist – Echocardiography

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts
Shift: Approximately 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Echo Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiographic studies for adult patients. The Echo Tech will be responsible for obtaining and interpreting cardiac ultrasound images, assisting with stress testing and TEE procedures, and providing accurate diagnostic information to cardiologists.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of applicable Echocardiography experience
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound
- ARDMS or CCI Echocardiography credential required
- Current BLS – American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and echocardiographic techniques
- Experience recognizing normal and abnormal cardiac structures and function
- Proficiency with Doppler, M-Mode, 2D, and color-flow imaging
- Strong computer and digital imaging system skills
- Excellent English communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality 2D echocardiograms of the heart and great vessels
- Obtain cardiac images using parasternal, apical, subcostal, and suprasternal views
- Perform M-Mode, pulsed-wave, continuous-wave, and color Doppler studies
- Evaluate ventricular systolic and diastolic function and wall motion
- Identify valvular stenosis, regurgitation, shunts, and other abnormalities
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms as needed
- Assist cardiologists with TEE procedures
- Prepare and assist patients during exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms
- Recognize EKG abnormalities and potentially lethal arrhythmias
- Review patient history and correlate clinical information with imaging studies
- Document procedures, measurements, findings, and patient information accurately
- Troubleshoot and report equipment issues
- Maintain monthly quality-control and correlation studies
- Participate in regional mobile echocardiography services
- Participate in callback rotation
- Maintain competency in stress testing, Holter monitoring, and event monitoring

Experience:
- applicable Echocardiography: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Current BLS – American Heart Association (Required)
- ARDMS or CCI Echocardiography credential (Required)
