Overview
Pediatric Therapy Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR or COTA) to manage a preschool and school-age caseload in Washington County. This is a great opportunity to refine your skills with children of various ages and abilities.
In this role, you will collaborate with regular and special education teachers, as well as other IEP team members, to integrate skill practice into the students' daily routines. Travel between preschool sites is required and is reimbursed at the hourly rate. The school-age therapy days are mostly at one site.
We are looking for candidates with strong oral and written communication skills and a parent-teacher friendly approach. Applicants must hold a PA Occupational Therapy license, CPR training, and current clearances.
The position is part-time (5 days/week, school calendar and hours). We offer comprehensive training prior to the school year and ongoing mentoring throughout the term. Opportunity for sign on bonus for 5-day/week position.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to identify developmental needs and functional challenges
- Develop and implement IEPs focused on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, and educators to coordinate care.
- Complete quarterly progress reports for students and complete daily electronic documentation of therapy sessions.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OTR or COTA)
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric developmental milestones
- Familiarity working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental conditions. Understanding for behavior plans and their implementation is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for education and interdisciplinary collaboration for follow through of occupational therapy strategies in the classroom setting.

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
