Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast POS for processing customer orders and transactions accurately
- Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, ensuring quick turnaround times and customer satisfaction
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including food prep areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and accurately give change
- Assist with cleaning dining areas, and supporting sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for all
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or quick service restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such Toast POS system for efficient order processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and inventory counting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry or retail environment
- Experience with retail sales transactions, upselling techniques, and cashiering processes
- Previous experience in grocery stores or café settings is a plus but not required

Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a completed Hepatitis A vaccination.
- Preferably have a valid Food Handler’s Permit.
- Must be willing to follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
