Our busy, small animal practice in western Shawnee is in need of an incredible Client Service Representative/ Receptionist. We call them Front Desk Warriors, because that is truly what they are! This position requires being able to handle a fast-paced working environment with extreme efficiency and courtesy to our clientele. Candidates must be reliable for shifts, have an excellent attention for detail, strong customer service background, and have a passion for pets and assisting their people. Veterinary clinic experience is preferred, but not required. This position will offer 18-32 hours per week. Our current need is for a full day shift 7:45am-6:00pm on Thursdays and one or two additional weekdays, plus two Saturdays per month from (7:45am-1:00pm).
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
· Answering phones, questions, taking messages, and relaying medical information between doctor and client
· Scheduling and rescheduling appointments
· Checking patients in/out
· Taking payments with cash, check, credit card, or Care Credit
· Pulling and preparing charts/forms for all appointments
· Filing charts alphabetically
· Updating new client/patient charts
· Assisting clients with our online pharmacy orders
· Checking and answering client emails
· Faxing and/or emailing patient history

- High School Diploma
- At least 1 year experience in front desk/ reception customer service
- Experience working in a veterinary practice beneficial
- Familiarity with computers, Internet, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Avimark veterinary program is ideal
