Duties
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering detailed demos and explaining features to enhance their understanding
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products and accessories by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current inventory
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products, store hours, or promotions while practicing proper phone etiquette
- Support stock replenishment activities such as stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure a well-presented store environment
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and benefits
- Proficient in basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS operations
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with merchandising standards is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
