ABOUT NEIL JESANI ADVISORS
Neil Jesani Advisors (NJA) is a multi-disciplinary advisory firm headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, serving 1,500+ high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients across private client tax planning, specialized legal services, trust & estate planning, mid-market business advisory, and wealth management.
NJA’s private client tax practice serves individuals with $2M+ in household income — executives, founders, investors, and business owners facing real tax complexity. The practice is built around a proactive, multi-year planning system: strategy before the event, not a return after the year closes. Services span multi-year income sequencing, entity and domicile planning, asset protection structures, trust architecture, estate and generational transfer, and charitable giving strategies.
THE ROLE
NJA is seeking a Private Client Tax Advisor to serve the firm’s existing and growing base of HNW/UHNW individuals and their businesses. This is a senior advisory role — not a compliance production role. The advisor will deliver advanced tax planning engagements and collaborate closely with NJA’s wealth management, estate planning, and legal teams to deliver fully integrated outcomes across the household.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical command of advanced tax planning. This is not a position where you determine where to report income; it requires an intellectually curious individual who can synthesize tax law to bring creative solutions to the client — including income tax planning involving income from all sources, equity compensation planning, QSBS structuring, legal entity and domicile optimization, retirement vehicles, trust-integrated planning, and business owner transitions. The ideal candidate will also have relationship skills to serve clients at the highest level.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as lead tax advisor to a HNW/UHNW individuals with complex tax profiles: $2M+ income, equity compensation, multi-state exposure, business interests, and significant assets

- Structure retirement and deferral vehicles: cash balance plans, defined benefit plans, mega backdoor Roth, deferred compensation arrangements, and others
- Collaborate with NJA’s estate and legal teams on trust architecture, GRAT, IDGT, DAPT, and generational transfer strategies
- Provide asset protection structuring: LLC layering, domestic and offshore structures, and integrated family holding vehicles
- Advise on charitable planning: DAFs, CRTs, CLATs, and private foundations
- Support clients through liquidity events, business sales, and M&A transactions — pre-transaction structuring through post-close integration
- Manage IRS audit defense and voluntary disclosure matters as needed
- Develop new client relationships through NJA’s cross-referral ecosystem, existing professional networks, and the South Florida / national HNW market
