Position Summary:
DIVaero is seeking a proactive, high-energy recent graduate to join our team as Finance Member. You will own day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment while working closely with ownership, operations, and our external accounting firm. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive under deadlines.
This position supports our AS9100 quality management system and CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Records
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records through calculating, classifying, posting, verifying, and reconciling transactions.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, prepare invoices and statements, issue payments, and handle cash/check receipts.
- Ensure all data is correctly entered and maintained in the ERP financial module.
Reporting, Budgeting & Compliance
- Prepare budgets, monthly reports, annual reports, and quality documentation.
- Compile financial, statistical, and audit reports (cash, AP/AR, P&L, etc.).
- Support tax filings, workers’ compensation, pension, and other government submissions with the external accounting firm.
- Maintain full compliance with federal, state, company policies, AS9100, and CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity requirements.
- Retain records for a minimum of seven years and prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, and regulatory needs.
Inventory, Materials & Cost Support
- Support the financial side of procurement, logistics, returns, stocking programs, FIFO, and physical inventory validation.
- Perform margin analysis on closed jobs and report monthly financial results.
- Maintain inventory, customer-owned stock, and related records.
Payroll, Benefits & Administrative Support
- Process payroll when needed and administer the employee life cycle and benefits programs (including liaison with insurance providers).
- Maintain confidential employee files and company key/key fob records.
- Perform general office duties and properly complete quality paperwork.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university (new graduates strongly encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office applications.
- Strong math, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with ERP financial modules preferred; demonstrated ability and eagerness to learn systems quickly.
- Excellent time management, accuracy under deadlines, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Proactive, energetic, data-driven, and effective in a team environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required (government contracts and CMMC Level 2).
- Must pass background check with no felony record.
