Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Mud & Drywall Supplies Delivery Driver to join our drywall team. This position is responsible for safely delivering drywall finishing materials, joint compound (“mud”), drywall supplies, tools, and other materials to residential and commercial jobsites.
The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working around construction jobsites. The driver must be able to load and unload materials, communicate with jobsite crews, and ensure that deliveries arrive on time and in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Deliver drywall mud, joint compound, tape, corner bead, screws, tools, and other drywall supplies to jobsites.
- Load and unload materials safely from company vehicles.
- Verify materials and quantities before leaving the shop.
- Make sure the correct materials are delivered to the correct jobsite.
- Communicate with supervisors, foremen, and crew members regarding deliveries.
- Assist with organizing materials at the jobsite when needed.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures and traffic laws.
- Use proper lifting and material-handling techniques.
- Maintain delivery records, receipts, and other required paperwork.
- Pick up materials from suppliers when necessary.
- Help maintain an organized warehouse, shop, and material storage area.
- Be willing to assist the drywall crews with general material handling when delivery work is complete.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, builders, and jobsite personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery, construction, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with drywall materials or construction supplies is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy materials.
- Ability to work outdoors and in active construction environments.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be safety-conscious and able to operate company vehicles responsibly.
