Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced registered nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set with experience across various clinical settings such as psychiatry, med/surg, emergency, and/or critical care. Psychiatric nursing a plus. This role involves providing patient care in the outpatient setting. The successful nurse will demonstrate proficiency in triaging phone calls, scheduling of patients, medical documentation, assistance in medication administration, initiation and follow up of the prior authorization process and basic patient assessment/monitoring. Knowledge of of HIPAA is essential to ensure compliance and quality care delivery. Compassion and professionalism is a must.
Duties
- Answer phones, triage calls and follow up with patients as directed by the provider
- Conduct basic patient assessments including vital signs and psychological assessments.
- Conduct prior authorizations of medications and treatments
- Administer medications including Spravato.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, sleep hygiene, and psychological well being.
- Collaborate with the provider and other staff for patient scheduling and care.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospital and/or outpatient environments.
- Background working with diverse patient populations throughout the adult and adolescent spectrum.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical standards and compassionate service delivery across multiple healthcare settings.
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
