Summary
Rocky's is a new sports bar opening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Big screens, great drinks, a tight food program, and a sharp visual identity. We're looking for a freelance social media manager who can own our online presence end-to-end: PR outreach, content creation, and day-to-day posting.
What you'll do
- Build and run our content calendar across Instagram and TikTok — game-day posts, event promos, behind-the-scenes, food/drink features, and culture content
- Shoot and edit short-form video and photo content on-site (we'll need someone who can come to the bar regularly, or coordinate with a shooter)
- Write copy that matches our voice — confident, a little playful, never corny
- Pitch and place us in NYC food/drink/nightlife press (Eater NY, Infatuation, Time Out, Resy, Thrillist, neighborhood blogs, etc.)
- Coordinate with influencers, neighborhood creators, and partner brands (we're already in conversation with a few sponsors)
- Track what's working — engagement, follower growth, foot traffic from posts — and adjust
You should have
- 2+ years managing social for a hospitality, F&B, or lifestyle brand (sports bars, restaurants, cocktail bars, or similar a big plus)
- A portfolio of short-form video and photo content you've personally produced or directed
- Existing relationships with NYC press and/or a track record of placing coverage
- Sharp design eye — you respect a brand system instead of slapping logos on stock templates
- Comfortable working independently and making judgment calls

- Williamsburg / North Brooklyn local
- Live sports knowledge (NFL, NBA, UFC, soccer especially) — you should know what's worth posting about
- Past work with bars during opening / pre-launch phase

Commitment: Project-based for the opening push
Rate: $1500/mo
Location: Hybrid — some on-site content capture in Williamsburg required, the rest remote
