Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate a variety of machinery including cutting, punching, pressing, and forming equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards and production schedules.
Duties
- Set up and operate machinery such as cutters, press brakes, steel roll machine, etc.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
- Measure finished products using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assurance.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain precision machining and meet quality standards.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all phases of machine operation and fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure proper tooling setup for efficient production.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as cutting machines, press brakes, or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math.
- Familiarity with measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols during machine operation.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and production specifications.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, metal forming machines, welding, tooling setup, and assembly is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent attention to detail ensures consistent quality output.
