Trinity Academy is a tuition free private elementary school serving students in grades K-4. We follow the Nativity Miguel model, emphasizing small class sizes, social emotional development, and individualized learning. Our Mission is to provide Hartford area children with an exceptional elementary school education, emphasizing equity and diversity and an individualized learning plan for each student. Our program is tuition-free and tailored for students from historically underserved communities. Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating literacy education, math, and social-emotional learning
- Develop engaging activities that promote creativity and cognitive development tailored to kindergarten-aged children
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Assess student progress regularly and provide personalized tutoring or intervention as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and integrate learning technology tools to enrich instruction
- Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting teaching strategies and working closely with specialists
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff by sharing best practices in classroom management and lesson planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology into lessons
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration
- Ability to proofread instructional materials and ensure accuracy in all educational content
- Knowledge of Montessori or other alternative teaching methodologies is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in tutoring, library services integration, and working with individuals requiring additional support

Pay: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
