Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Your contributions will be vital in delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Help with mobility by assisting patients in moving from bed to wheelchair or other locations using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement patient care plans effectively.
- Assist in administering medications as directed by nursing staff.
- Provide care for patients with specific needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and geriatrics.
- Engage with patients who have developmental disabilities or require special assistance.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS), aseptic techniques, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring is beneficial.
- Exposure to various medical environments such as urgent care, outpatient clinics, or teaching hospitals is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
