Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality vehicle repairs, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and manage the service department team, including service technicians and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee vehicle repairs and maintenance processes, ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate scheduling of repairs
- Maintain accurate service writing and auto estimating to ensure clear communication with customers and proper documentation
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair options
Qualifications
- Proven experience with a strong background in auto service management
- Extensive knowledge of automotive repair
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with service technician roles is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing procedures
- Strong leadership skills to motivate staff and optimize department performance
