Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service through clear communication and positive engagement
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to enhance their shopping experience
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, attractive store environment
- Upsell products by recommending additional items that meet customer needs and increase sales opportunities
- Manage inventory by stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and ensuring proper merchandising standards
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and support
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to oversee daily store operations
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions, balancing cash drawers, and performing retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail store product knowledge, and merchandising techniques will support success in this role
