Director of Sales – Hampton Inn & Hampton Inn & Suites Albuquerque
Company Overview We are a two-property operation consisting of Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites in Albuquerque, NM, committed to delivering the warm, consistent hospitality that Hilton's Hampton brand is known for. Our Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and market share across both properties.
Position Summary The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales efforts for Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites in the Albuquerque market. This individual will develop and execute proactive sales strategies, manage key accounts, and build relationships across corporate, group, and extended-stay segments to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve budgeted revenue targets across both properties
- Actively solicit new business and manage existing accounts in corporate transient, group, and government segments
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, meeting planners, travel managers, and other key clients
- Conduct outside sales calls, property tours, and client entertainment to drive new business
- Monitor competitive set and market trends; adjust strategies to maximize RevPAR and market share
- Collaborate with the GM and Revenue Management to align pricing, inventory, and sales tactics
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports and forecasts
- Attend local networking events, trade shows, and Chamber of Commerce activities to represent the properties
- Manage the Sales & Catering system (Delphi/CI#1 or similar) and maintain accurate account records
- Partner with Hilton's above-property sales team and leverage brand resources
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hotel sales experience in select-service or extended-stay brands
- Hilton brand background required — candidates must have direct experience working within the Hilton portfolio (Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Suites, DoubleTree, or similar Hilton brands)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong knowledge of the Albuquerque/New Mexico market a plus
- Proficiency in hotel sales systems (Delphi, CI#1, OnQ, or similar)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
