ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous improvement over materials, facilities, products and services.
- Maintains 3rd party IATF ISO 16949 Certification.
- Coordinates and assist in plans and organizes Quality Assurance department’s contribution to the APQP and PPAP process to minimize disruption, both internal and external, during new program launches.
- Review customer website as needed for nonconformance’s issued and assures proper investigation of complaints and coordinates corrective action.
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
- Plan and direct the internal audit program.
- Effectively interact with production and other team members to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.
- Assuring that all APQP and PPAP requirements are met.
- Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
- Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
- Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to the Quality Department.
- Setting Quality compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
- Liaising with customers’ / 3rd party auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with 3rd party registration and customers’ specific requirements.
- Holds Management Reviews to support compliance to 3rd party Quality Systems Management, Environmental Management System and ongoing compliance to 3rd party requirements.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in quality technology or engineering related area, or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) status (not required but preferred)
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, sub-suppliers, and manufacturers,
- Prefer minimum five years’ experience as a tier-one / tier-two automotive supplier in a quality management or engineering function.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literate / proficient.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems. (IATF ISO 16949 required)
- Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to operate and work with computer/designated software.
- Formal Internal Auditor training and internal auditing experience.
