Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert clinical counseling, psychotherapy, and case management services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will support individuals facing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and complex medical conditions such as Alzheimer's and geriatrics. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems to identify mental health conditions and developmental disabilities.
- Deliver individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
- Manage case documentation accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Coordinate care plans by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, psychologists, educators, and community service providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide specialized counseling for populations with unique needs such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, addiction recovery, geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Facilitate intake sessions to gather comprehensive patient histories and establish treatment goals aligned with clinical research protocols when applicable.
- Implement crisis management strategies effectively during emergencies or behavioral incidents while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Support patients through diagnostic evaluation processes involving ICD coding systems; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes; document medical records thoroughly for legal compliance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with advances in psychopharmacology, mental health counseling techniques, special education practices, and relevant medical terminology.
- Contribute to research initiatives by collecting data on patient progress and treatment efficacy to support clinical studies or quality improvement projects.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the appropriate state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience providing psychotherapy across diverse populations including children & families, adults with mental health disorders, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care.
- Demonstrated proficiency working within EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Experience delivering behavioral health services in hospital settings or community-based programs; familiarity with home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience working alongside healthcare professionals in integrated settings preferred.
- Background in crisis intervention strategies; ability to manage complex cases involving trauma or PTSD effectively.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and adherence to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong skills in case management, diagnostic evaluation, addiction counseling, psychopharmacology considerations, and special education practices are advantageous for success in this role.
