Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, including refrigeration and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure our clients' environments remain comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, equipment, and building automation systems
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units to optimize performance and extend lifespan
- Repair HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, boilers, and refrigeration units
- Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify system problems and solutions
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction
Experience
- Proven construction experience with mechanical systems installation and repair
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems
- Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment such as refrigerants, boilers, appliances, and air conditioning units
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and electrical system repairs within HVAC applications
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical systems repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment like ohmmeters for diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (including <PERSON> driver if applicable)
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling required or obtainable upon hire
