SUMMARY: Under general supervision from the General Maintenance Manager, leads planning efforts for waterproofing and painting projects. Inspects buildings and documents interior and exterior finish coating repair requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans work; estimates job costs, and selects materials.

Surveys buildings to determine repairs needed and develops schedules for completion.

Applies paints, sealers, solvents, varnishes and stains to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete, furniture, and wood.

Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.

Cleans and maintains brushes, rollers, spray units, and hand tools.

Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks.

Follows all applicable local, state and federal codes and statutes in the field. Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions, and performs a variety of manual tasks, as required.

Uses mechanized high-reach equipment to renew caulking on exterior building panel seams, windows, and doors.

Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
-
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s license.
